Electricity Access

Madagascar faces electricity access challenges in rural areas as 85% of the country's population lacks access to electricity (World Bank,2020). By improving access to clean, affordable energy, PowerPath addresses poverty alleviation

(SDG-8). Access to electricity enhances economic opportunities, improves access to education and healthcare, and supports business growth, all of which contribute to reducing poverty. By 2026, 10K nanogrids and 10-50microgrids each connecting 10-40 nanogrids will be deployed, reaching c.500 rural communities in Madagascar (5-households-per-nanogrid/50K households/100-households-per-community).
