PowerPath Presented at Renewable Connect 2025 in Paris

Mon, 07 April, 2025

On 24-26 March, Adamantini Loukodimou – Research Associate at the Materials Innovation Centre (MatIC) – a long-term strategic partnership between TWI and the University of Leicester – travelled to Paris to present the PowerPath project at Renewable Connect 2025: international conference on renewable and sustainable energy.

The circular economy is now in a transient state. There is currently a mixed energy portfolio including fossil fuels and renewables. The renewable materials portfolio is still heavily relying on fossil resources.

In a not so remote future, fossil resources will be decreasing and the mixed energy portfolio will change accordingly and shift towards renewables.

The synergy between renewable energy developers at all Technology Readiness Levels (TRL), such as academia, upscaling and technology transfer endeavours and final users is necessary for a successful transition. Successful players will lead the future energy economy.
