TVS coordinates the PowerPath project and is developing a data acquisition system for the remote nano-grids deployed by consortium partner Nanoé in Madagascar. This includes a LoRa mesh network that will enable remote nano-grids to send data to the cloud without any mobile connectivity or network, and have a few distributed gateways with internet connectivity to facilitate the data transfer. This will allow Nanoé to monitor all its nano-grids remotely, eliminating engineers’ travel time for data collection and enabling continuous optimisation of the nano-grids.
PowerPath Coordinator, TVS is responsible for project coordination – with deliverables including risk monitoring, plan management, IP exploitation strategy, stakeholder management and regular reporting to the funding body – as well as dissemination and exploitation.
TVS has collaborated with consortium partners Nanoé and TWI Ltd in the past, notably contributing to the IMPHORAA project. PowerPath can be considered a continuation of the work done on this project, adding data acquisition on top of IMPHORAA.
